The Golden Cuvée
The Golden Cuvée is a royal blend of Furmint, Yellow Muscat and Kövérszőlő and originates from a charming family wine estate in Tokaji of only 6 hectares, with just a thousand bottles of this special blend produced. The vineyard is in the process of officially registering as an organic farm. Neither yeast, nor enzymes are used during production and fermentation occurs in oak barrels.
Grapes

40% Furmint (Aszú Fordítás),
40% Yellow Muscat and 20% Zeta, Kabar and Kövérszőlő.Production

The three components of the wine are fermented separately for six months and then blended before bottling. The Yellow Muscat gives the sweet perfume aroma and spicy flavours, Zeta, Kabar and Kövérszőlő are responsible for the high sugar content, while Fordítás balances the whole structure; giving body and acidity to the blend and ensuring a harmonious sugar-acid balance. In addition to the Kövérszőlő grape, the two grapes Zeta and Kabar are fermented in oak barrels spontaneously. The Fordítás is also separately in oak barrels, while the Yellow Muscat is fermented in a tank. The Fordítás is made of Furmint wine poured in the “noble eyes” and soaked for 36 hours.
Food Paring

Perfect on its own and a great match to fruity or just sweet desserts, blue cheese, or even spicy Indian meals.
Curiosa

The wine is a royal blend of varieties of sweet grapes from several vineyards and has a high sugar level, which is considered premium for a dessert wine in Hungary. We call it the golden cuvée both because of the colour and the delicious taste worthy of queens and kings, equivalent to a spoon of exclusive honey melting on your tongue.
