Furmint barrique 2009
This elegant, round dry wine is made 100% of the classical Tokaj grape Furmint by a passionate winemaker in the charming village of Tállya.
The wine is barrel fermented and aged in oak barrels for 17 months.
Enjoy with poultry, rabbit, smoked meat & cheese, mushroom paste, and truffle at 10-12 °C.
The wine is an “estate” wine, which means that it is a blend of eight various furmints of different harvest dates and vineyards of the estate. Only around 3000 bottles were produced of this specific blend, of which Hungry Wines have the pleasure to sell just around half.

Medium bodied, well balanced.
Aroma and taste
Roasted aroma on the nose, followed by bitter almond, floral and discrete spiciness. Pear, quince flavours with good intensity.
Medium deep, straw yellow.
